2009 19th annual Polar Bear Challenge Results

(West Lafayette, OH) The 19th annual Polar Bear Challenge was held Saturday at River Greens Golf Club under various weather conditions. The tournament features six holes scramble, six better-ball, and six holes of alternate shot.

The Team of Matt Gasser and Brandon Putnam shot a 4 under par 68 to claim first place. Skip Snider and Caine Bricker were tied by Adam Veselenak and Chris Miles with 70's for second place. Doug Savage and Dave Near were fourth at even par 72.

Gasser-Putnam won the Scramble segment with 21 strokes. Snider-Bricker, Gasser-Putnam, and Savage-Near all shot 23's to win the better-ball, and Miles-Veselenak were 1 under to win the alternate shot.

16 teams competed. The next event is the 2-man scramble on Friday November 27th.
