(West Lafayette, OH) The 18th annual Polar Bear Challenge was held at River Greens Golf Club Saturday with nearly perfect conditions greeting the players. The Cleveland team of Derek Duda and Jake Scott carded a 4 under par to claim overall honors in the Scramble-Better Ball- Alternate Shot format. Matt Gowins and Mitch Levengood were one stroke off the pace at 69. Frank Lumbatis and Travis Sears tied Caine Bricker and Dan Lahmers for third place with 70’s. Don Darr-Tim Cooksey Josh Anderson-Clint Paxson and Frank Livak-Bruce Deveny tied for fifth at 1 under.
Cooksey-Darr and Bricker-Lahmers won the Scramble portion shooting 3 under par. Cooksey-Darr also won the Better Ball segment with a 4 under par. The Father/Son team of Gary and Kyle Todd won the Alternate Shot format with a 1 over par score. 
21 teams were entered.


The next event is a Pro-Am or Am-Am 2-man scramble on Friday November 28th.
