2007 River Greens Polar Bear Challenge Results

RE: Polar Bear Challenge Results

(West Lafayette, OH) Perfect November weather greeted the 18 teams competing in the 17th annual Polar Bear Challenge at River Greens Golf Club. The local team of Tim Cooksey and Don Darr took home first place honors with a 2 under par score of 70 in the scramble/better-ball/alternate shot format. Four teams tied for second with 73's: Tom Ross-Ron Bowman, Gary and Kyle Todd, Dan Lahmers-Caine Bricker, and John Perkowski - Aaron Shanklin.

3 under par won the Scramble Format, as Bubenchick- Haynes, Livak-Duda and Lahmers-Bricker all took 21 strokes for the first six holes. Lahmers-Bricker won the Better Ball format with 23 strokes. The teams of Ferguson-Norcia, Perkowski-Shanklin and Cooksey-Darr all took 23 strokes to complete the final six holes of Alternate shot. 

River Greens will host the 2-man Fall Better-Ball next Sunday.
