RE: The Annual Coshocton Cup

The Annual Coshocton Cup was played with a new format using each players handicap in the match play event. The Coshocton Town & Country Club captured the two-day tournament by an overall score of 11-4 over River Greens Golf Club. 

On Saturday, the sweep began when Brian Dunlap (12) and Terry Taylor (15) beat River Greens' Brad Haynes (8)and Kyle Myers (6) 2-and-1. Scott Frank (9) and Chad Guess (11) followed by beating Gary Todd (6) and Welch Sprague (5), 3-and-2. 

In the third match, Larry Cahill (24) and Bob Smith (25) beat Dan Miles (12) and Frank Hill (11), 5-and-3; Randy Hothem (16) and Dan Truitt (11) toppled Don Darr (2) and Tim Cooksey (4) 2-and-1; and John Lonsberry (17) and Max Crown (17) beat Gary Foster (16) and Matt Gasser (0) 1-up.

The Country Clubbers added to a 5-0 lead after day one on their home course and came away with a 6-4 edge at River Greens on Sunday for the final verdict. Wins came where John Lonsberry topped Frank Hill 2-up; Larry Cahill beat Dan Miles 3-and-1; Terry Taylor downed Kyle Myers 5-and-4; Max Crown defeated Brad Haynes 2-up; Dan Truitt beat Tim Cooksey 3-and-1; Bryan Dunlap knocked off Don Darr 1-up. 

River Greens got wins from Gary Todd's 3-and-2 decision over Randy Hothem; Gary Foster downed Mike Meuller 4-and-3; Matt Gasser beat Scott Frank 4-and-2 and Welch Sprague edged Chad Guess 5-and-4.
