RE: NCCAA National Championship
(West Lafayette, OH) The final round of the National Christian College Athletic Association's Golf Championship was played Tuesday at River Greens Golf Course in eastern Coshocton County. Indiana Wesleyan began the day 2 shots out of the lead but posted a 4 over par 292 to win by ten strokes. Southeastern College (Florida), North Greenville (South Carolina) and Northland Baptist Bible College (Wisconsin) all finished the 36 holes with 600 strokes. North Greenville won the playoff for second place.
Andy Varner led Indiana Wesleyan with identical one under par 71's and won the playoff for medalist over Stephen Giddens (Piedmont). They were the only competitors to break par. The largest field ever, 24 teams from sixteen states were entered.
