RE: Coshocton Invitational Final
(West Lafayette, O) The final round of the Coshocton Invitational was played Sunday at River Greens Golf Club in Eastern Coshocton County. Nearly perfect weather conditions greeted the field of the best amateurs from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Blake Sattler (New Philadelphia) entered Sundays round two shots off of Mike Kelley (Westerville) the first round leader. After the first nine, Sattler not only caught but was one stroke ahead of Kelley and both played the back nine in even par 36 strokes. Sattlers' two day total of 143 was one better than Kelley and Brian Bumgarner (Westerville). Don Paz (Willowick) and Brian Stump (Parkersburg) were tied for fourth place at 146.
Tom Young (Dublin) won the Senior Division with a two day total of 143 which tied for the low tournament score. Young carded an even par 72 Sunday to go with his first round 71. Doug Savage was second with a 148. Young and Savage are past champions of the Open division. Don Darr, the '02 Senior Champion, and Pat Sheffer tied for third at 151. Rich Miller was fifth at 152.
